Landscape Surveyor

Due to a recent period of growth, we require a landscape surveyor/salesperson to cope with current demand and to win and manage new contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Visiting potential clients
  • Work planning & scheduling
  • Briefing teams & contractors
  • Ensuring client is updated at every stage
  • Typing quotes
  • Answering the phone
  • Ordering materials

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in hard and soft landscaping
  • Willingness to learn from Senior Surveyor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Maths & IT skills
  • Sales & customer service experience an advantage
  • GCSE A-C

Experienced Landscaper

You will be expected to consistently deliver the landscape requirements outlined by the foreman and contracts manager. Due to the nature of the business, this role is physically demanding.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a high quality of workmanship covering all aspects of hard and soft landscaping, groundworks and fencing
  • Digging, Rotavating, Planting, Mulching, Paving and other related tasks
  • Providing a responsive and professional service to customers
  • Dealing promptly with issues arising and escalating them immediately to Site Foreman

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in hard & soft landscaping
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong working knowledge and interest in landscaping, construction, groundworks & garden design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail-orientated
  • Excellent attention to detail while working in a fun and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background
  • Clean and professional appearance
  • Punctual and dependable

Landscape Foreman

The landscape foreman is responsible for the installation and management of soft and hardscape projects. The foreman is responsible for completing project installations with great precision and business-minded efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Attend the pre-start meeting with the Contractors Manager and Sales Surveyor.
  • Direct activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to coordinating workflow, hands-on work, and operating a variety of machinery.
  • Manage personnel effectively and efficiently teams & contractors
  • Communication production goals with crew members and client.
  • Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery needed maintenance and report to the office.
  • Track and record all job expenses, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site always.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the RAMS are read, understood, followed and signed by all workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage landscape crew
  • Ensure that all crew members utilise all required personal protection equipment
  • Ensure that all installation work is performed in accordance with the industry and company standards
  • Ensure that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Interacts with clientele to help ensure job satisfaction
  •  Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work
  • Leads by example
  • Reports for duty at the designated site on time each day
  • Follows directions from the Contracts Manager
  • Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to.
  • Communicates well with all crew members, supervisors and clientele
  • Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility.
  • Monitors all equipment and machinery needed for maintenance
  • Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site always
  • Trains crew members the development in best practices in of installation in company standards.
  • Maintain first aid box and report any accidents.

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Driving license
  • Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including Front End Loaders, Mini-Excavators and Skid Steer Machinery with various attachments, other construction equipment as needed
  • Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications
  • Highly motivated, self-driven individual, who is detail orientated
  • Excellent attention to detail while working in a fun and fast-paced environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management skills; be available for long hours all year round
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background (ie clientele, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and other designers)
  • Clean and professional appearance
  • Punctual and dependable
